What Are the Common Aquarium Thermometers?
Aquarium thermometer is a small equipment, but everyone should not ignore it because it is closely related to the life of fish. The common aquarium thermometers will be introduced as follows:
I. Industrial thermometer
This kind of thermometer is not used to raise fish but used in industrial production. It is suggested that everybody should prepare one to correct the deviation value of the aquarium thermometer.
Advantage: accurate reading
II. Electronic thermometer
After the temperature-sensing element is calculated by Ic, a highly accurate temperature will be displayed in liquid crystal, but the battery is needed. We recommend the out-of-cylinder electronic thermometer for its wide application scope, compact appearance, convenient carrying, electricity-saving, etc.
1. Out-of-cylinder electronic thermometer
Advantages: It can be placed at will and will not be affected by the space in the cylinder; fast and accurate reading.
Type: digital readout
Material: ABs shell, stainless steel temperature measuring head
Length of temperature line: 1.2 m
Temperature range: -50 to 150℃
Accuracy: 1% (-20℃ - 50C)
Resolution: 0.1℃
Power supply: 1.5V button battery, which is easy to replace.
2. In-cylinder electronic thermometer
Advantages: easy observation and accurate reading
III. Mechanical thermometer
The temperature is displayed through the change of the pointer driven by the physical variation of metal at different temperatures. It is the most commonly used thermometer with average accuracy but various types.
Advantages: It is more durable and not easy to break.
IV. Liquid crystal thermometer
The liquid crystal produces color changes in response to temperature changes.
Advantages: It is small and doesn’t occupy space.
V. Column thermometer
Direct reading is performed by injecting mercury or stained kerosene into a columnar glass tube. It is a civilian version of the industrial thermometer.
Advantages: convenient; relatively high accuracy.
VI. Float thermometer
Accurately speaking, it is a kind of column thermometer that is equipped with a glass sleeve outside and a lead shot at the bottom. It can float freely in the water. In practical use, it is generally fixed on the cylinder wall with a suction cup for convenient observation.
Currently, Guangzhou Senzeal Trading Co., Ltd. focuses on digital aquarium thermometers. There are three basic types of aquarium thermometers for sale: thermometers fixed outside the aquarium, thermometers float/stand in water, and digital thermometers. Each basic type has several subtypes with respective advantages. Different aquarium thermometers are suitable for different styles and sizes of aquariums. Whatever type you choose, it is recommended to record the water temperature regularly to ensure that the water temperature in the aquarium is stable and within the optimum temperature range for the fish to live.
